A M i B A

A M i B A is the sound of mixing an award-winning film composer with an award-winning singer/songwriter.
Together they have written, composed, performed, and produced the music on the album, which in their own words
is a patchwork of sound that balances between electro power pop, cinematic retro sounds and dreamy Scandinavian tones.

A M i B A tells everyday life stories of different humans and explores topics such as humanity,
oppression, and feminism – all wrapped in catchy melodies, raw and manipulated sounds, and poetic lyrics.

To enhance each narrative and give the listeners a deeper experience of each track the duo has teamed up with the
Turkish visual artist Ali Güleç. He has created each artwork to give a visual level of understanding and
reflection to each track. The album cover is a result of all the artworks combined into one piece of art.

ALI GÜLEÇ

Based in Istanbul, Turkish artist and graphic designer Ali Gulec has an eye for images that oscillate between the macabre,
irreverent, and absurd. Working at his ikiiki Design Studio, Gulec blends traditional illustration with computer imaging
to produce prints, collages, even graphic apparel dressed in often-humorous designs as creative as they are confounding.
